Come Experience Our Advanced Technology

Comfortable, Modern Experiences

Technology is changing the world faster and faster with each passing year, and it continues to make the world a better place. Fortunately, this kind of progress includes dentistry as well. Our office makes it a point to stay on top of the latest technology because it enables Dr. Sam DK Kim and our team to provide an even higher quality of care in less time while causing less discomfort. Sounds like a winning combination, right? Below, you can learn more about some of the tools we use every day to make sure our patients have only the best dental experience.

Digital X-Rays

Dentist looking at x-ray on tabletThanks to our digital x-ray machine, we can diagnose potentially hidden dental problems in a much safer and efficient way. Compared to traditional film-based x-rays, digital x-rays are better in just about every way imaginable. They can create high-resolution images much faster, they don’t require toxic chemicals to be processed, and they even emit 90% less radiation. This is great news for both our patients and us, because remember, we’re around this equipment all day!

CT / Cone Beam Scanner - Coming Soon!

Woman in 3D digital image scannerThis tool allows us to create a fully 3D image of your mouth and surrounding structures in a matter of minutes. Using this kind of image, we can more precisely plan a variety of oral surgery procedures. This will enable us to guarantee a positive result and do things in the least invasive way possible, therefore reducing your recovery time.

The machine works by having a high-resolution scanner rotate around your head while taking hundreds of unique pictures. Using sophisticated software, these pictures can then be used to formulate the 3D image.

Cavity Detection System

Man holding face talking to dentist and assistantThe earlier we’re able to catch tooth decay, the sooner we can treat it and save more of your tooth. Previously, microscopic signs of tooth decay would often go unfound during a traditional visual exam, but thanks to our cavity detection system, that is no longer the case. It works by using a beam of light to measure the thickness of your enamel. If even the slightest thinning is detected, we’ll be able to notice it and act quickly. Often, this machine allows us to treat tooth decay before it can ever turn into a cavity.
